I had the absolute pleasure of fitting the brillia I had the absolute pleasure of fitting the brilliant @Viessmann Vitocal 150-a recently in #Fleet The Viessmann is the Rolls Royce of heat pumps and is already achieving fantastic efficiencies. The house was built with underfloor heating throughout so didn’t need any radiator upgrades. As (almost) always with my installs it was a very tight fit but I managed to squeeze in the indoor unit and a replacement hot water cylinder without too much bother. The customer has now managed to go gas free so no longer has to pay gas standing charge. Im now a proud Viessmann VIPartner so can offer a 7 year manufacturer’s warranty on my Viessmann heat pump installs. Another @vaillant.uk aroTHERM Plus 5kw heat pump w Another @vaillant.uk aroTHERM Plus 5kw heat pump with hot water cylinder installed in #Bracknell. I’ve been looking after their boiler for a few years and after 15 years service had reached end of life due to an expensive repair quote. Thanks to the £7500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant and 0% VAT the price for the heat pump, cylinder and 2 new radiators was similar to what I quoted for just a boiler. A common misconception about heat pumps is all radiators need replacing. This often isn’t true: out of 12 radiators in this 5 bed detached I only replaced 2 in order to achieve a very respectable 45°C flow temperature. My customer no longer had any gas appliances in the house so will be having their gas meter replaced and the standing charge going too. Not just any @vaillant.uk aroTHERM Plus install in Not just any @vaillant.uk aroTHERM Plus install in #bracknell this is my own. I fitted it almost a year ago and gave it a service today. This last winter it has behaved flawlessly. Thanks to the gentle, continuous warmth the sensoCOMFORT weather compensated control provides the house has never been as comfortable. Even Mrs Smith was warm! It has also been very economical to run with a reported efficiency figure of 460%. For every 1 unit of electricity it uses, 4.6 units of heat are put into the radiators. The second picture is where my gas meter used to be. Our house is now gas free, thankfully we no longer have to pay the extortionate standing charge on our gas supply. With a bit of help from solar and load shifting with battery storage our winter electric bills were just over £100 a month. This includes around 1200 EV miles a month too.
